(white musician; label owner; producer; songwriter) was born in Pennsylvania, presumably at Snowden, Alleghany County, on 8 November 1916, a son of Italian-born parents, Virgilio Innocenti and Ida Caporali. In 1920, the family resided at Snowden, Alleghany County, but by 1930 they resided at Saginaw, Michigan. By 1940, Frank was working as a “musician, orchestra” and was residing at East Elm Street, El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas, but had resided at Saginaw in 1935. He enlisted in the Air Corps in Michigan on 23 December 1941. He may be Frank L. Innocenti who served with the Marines at Quantico, Virginia between October 1953 and July 1954. By 1958 he was a post office carrier, residing at 1619 Riverside Drive, Nashville, Tennessee, with no wife shown. He was mainly involved in hillbilly production at Nashville, Tennessee, including numerous issues by the Speed label, which he owned with John Dunn and James Gann. Speed was sold to Bordeaux, Tennessee-based hotelier, A. C. Reed. Frank produced R & B pianist Charles Ruckles for Speed #300 at Nashville, Tennessee in about 1952, reissued by (British) Krazy Kat LP #KK 7431 by 1986. Innocenti was also involved with the Odessa and Saginaw labels, both based at Nashville. He received composer credit for MAD NERVOUS WOMAN (Hi – Po RECORDS #1002), performed at Nashville in 1956 by JEWELL GILBERT With Mac McCray’s Band. He was the producer of Excello #2312 by Willie Baker in 1970. He shares composer credit with J. Atkins for DON’T LET NOBODY KNOW, recorded by Baker, which was published by Saginaw Music, BMI, which Frank operated in 1974 at Hermitage Hills, near Nashville, Tennessee. Frank’s wife was Lucy M. Innocenti. Frank’s SSN was number 381-16-3522. He resided at 3902 Plantation Drive, Hermitage, Tennessee 37076. Frank died on 30 March 2001.
