label was a subsidiary of R C A VICTOR, active during 1953-1955. Issue #0142 was released by 25 June 1955. By 10 September 1955, R C A VICTOR announced that it intended “X” to be renamed VIK. It had become Vik by the time of issue #X-0227. The #LX-3000 series (later #LVA-3009 series) commencing 1953, and mainly prewar jazz) comprised 10-inch 33 rpm LPs. The #EVA-3000 series (and also #EVA-6 onwards) comprised 7-inch 45 rpm EPs.
